I grew up in a small town in West Virginia in a valley surrounded by mountains. That’s where my love for natural beauty started!
Fast forward to my life today. I have been an international exchange student in Venezuela through AFS Intercultural Programs, a writer and editor for 12+ years, a Spanish teacher, and a volunteer coordinator for the same intercultural organization I traveled with years before. When I look back, it is clear to see that travel, intercultural education, and helping others has always been a part of who I am.
My ideal clients are those leisure travelers who share my same stage in life, looking to go and see, experience something new, and learn more about the places they visit. I love to help with bucket-list destinations that feature spectacular scenery!
I have always been the planner in my family. I strive to find those unique experiences that really make a vacation special. And I’m a firm believer that quality is in the details, and that is something I bring to each trip I plan.
In addition to my certifications, I stay current by attending conferences, trade shows, and trainings annually. I have always enjoyed traveling. In high school, I spent the summer abroad in Portugal with AFS Intercultural Programs. That experience really started my love of travel, my curiosity about different cultures and a desire to know more about the world.
I spent 10 years in the U.S. Navy as a Hospital Corpsman. I was stationed in Naples, Italy; and Croton, Conn. During my time in Naples, I fell in love with Italy... the food, the culture, the museums, the people, and the overall lifestyle. My favorite city is Florence, Italy, and I could tell you all about it!
After my time in the Navy, I have continued learning and developing my attention to detail, as well as my love of planning and budget management through my career in healthcare management. I believe these gifts will follow me into my role as a Travel Advisor.
My husband Shane and I married in Jamaica at Beaches Negril and honeymooned at Sandals Negril. I have been lucky to continue traveling with my childern. We've cruise multiple times with Disney, Royal Caribbean, and Carnival. I have spent time in the Caribbean and Mexico.
