Bucket List Vacations

Enjoy Europe on the river!

Come aboard a European River Cruise and explore the many waterways spanning Germany, Austria, France, Switzerland, Hungary, Portugal, the Czech Republic and more. A variety of different experiences await those looking to explore Europe without the stress of planning out all the details. We have been to the ASTA River Cruise Expo and have seen and experienced 8 different brands. Afterward, we sailed on the AmaMagna, AmaWaterways signature ship, and also did a Christmas Markets River Cruise on Avalon Waterways. Perfecting the art of "slow travel," river cruises are such a different experience than ocean cruises! There are a number of companies operating in Europe and throughout the world, offering specialty themed cruises and all designed for different types of travelers. Happy to also help with Viking River Cruises and Tauck, among others. Contact us to find just the right fit!

Make the holidays bright!

There is nothing more special than  experiencing the Christmas Markets in Europe during the holiday season! River cruise lines get all decked out and sail to cities that are well-known for their Christmas traditions. They even have special activities onboard to add to the experience. We sailed on Avalon Waterways in December 2022 and have another group sailing planned for December 2025. These holiday cruises are popular so you have to book early. Contact us if you're interested in joining us in December 2025 or are ready to plan your own special cruise this year or next!

Explore Europe your way!

Whether you dream of Italy, Germany, Switzerland, or any other European destination, there are a variety of travel options out there for you. Try cruising the Mediterranean and stay a few extra days in Rome; buy a Swiss Travel Pass and experience the Grand Train Tour where you can see the country up close and personal; combine a number of countries and cities and take an escorted or small group tour just about anywhere; or plan your own flexible, independent trip with a little help from your travel advisor. With so much to see and do and just as many options out there to make it happen, contact us to help you navigate it all! We are making reservations now for 2024 and 2025.

Northern Lights anyone?

Is chasing the Northern Lights on your bucket list? If so, there are a number of places you can travel to in the hopes of catching a glimpse of this natural phenomenon! Some of the Northern Lights hotspots include Iceland, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Canada, and even Alaska. You can find adventure year-round in all these places. Picture yourself sailing through the Norwegian fjords, relaxing in the Blue Lagoon in Iceland, and going wildlife watching in Alaska!  Start dreaming and planning now for 2024 and 2025! Contact us to find out all the different adventures you can experience.

Ride the Rocky Mountaineer!

There is no better way to sit back, relax, and see the beautiful scenery of western Canada than aboard the Rocky Mountaineer! Venture inland on this train with packages that go to Jasper, Banff, and Lake Louise.

The Rocky Mountaineer train only travels during the daylight, ensuring that you do not miss any of the awesome scenery! This luxury experience offers two classes of service and a variety of different itineraries from which to choose. Add to that the warmth of the Canadian people and you have a real winner here! Read more about my experience aboard the Rocky Mountaineer, check out one of our featured trips, or simply contact us!

The Rocky Mountaineer also has a new route in the U.S.! Check out this one -- Rockies to the Red Rocks -- and be sure to add it to your list of "must-do" adventures! Traveling from Denver to Moab, Utah, it is a great starting point to explore the five nearby national parks, including Arches, Canyonlands, Capitol Reef, Bryce Canyon, and Zion.

Scottish & Irish Dream Vacation

Explore the historic and cultural ties between Scotland and Ireland as you travel by escorted coach with CIE Tours and hit all the must-see attractions, including Loch Lomond, Inveraray Castle, Isle of Skye, St. Andrews, Edinburgh Castle, Titanic Belfast, Trinity College, Blarney Castle, Ring of Kerry, and Cliffs of Moher. This tour features a full Irish breakfast daily and 10 other meals, including a traditional Irish dinner and show. Your 14-day stress-free adventure, which also includes all on-tour transportation, a welcome get-together drink, and free Wi-Fi on the coach, starts in Glasgow and ends in Dublin if you want to add on extra days before or after the tour. For more information, click here. Happy to also find you a tour of another length at a different time or one that also includes England, Scotland or Wales.

Alaska ... Glaciers, Wildlife!

Secure your spot this summer on a voyage to see the Great Land of Alaska with its glaciers, wildlife, and national parks! Typical itineraries for cruises on either Princess or Holland America, both of which we highly recommend for Alaska, include scenic cruising in must-see Glacier Bay as well as stops in other ports such as Ketchikan, Juneau, Skagway and/or Sitka. Both Princess and Holland America also offer land extensions to enhance your experience in Alaska by adding on a few days before or after your cruise. Land packages range from 3-7 days in length and may involve the Alaska Railroad, a coach tour, or a combination of both. Sailings can start in Vancouver and go north to Whittier (Anchorage) or the reverse. You can also cruise on a roundtrip itinerary from Seattle or Vancouver.

We specialize in Princess and Holland America in Alaska so let us help you distinguish between the two and make sure you find the right fit!

Of course, you can also see Alaska by land and forego the cruise altogether. Take the Alaska Railroad to Denali National Park, embark on a 26-Glacier Cruise in Whittier, drive the scenic Seward Highway and take a Kenai Fjords National Park Cruise, and experience all that the cities of Anchorage and Fairbanks offer. We can create a land package that best suits your travel style and interests.

Discover Vancouver

While a lot of cruises start or end in Vancouver, making it an ideal spot to spend a few extra days, you don't have to be on a cruise to enjoy this Canadian city. It's worthy of an extended visit any time of the year! Visit a variety of distinct neighborhoods throughout the city, embark on a foodie tour, look for wildlife on the water and on Grouse Mountain, walk across the Capilano Suspension Bridge, and be sure to allow time to travel to nearby Whistler and Victoria. Outdoor activities abound as well. Contact us to set it all up for you!

Cruise to New England & Canada

Embark on a cruise through New England and Canada in the summer or fall, each season showcasing its beautiful colors! We sailed through this area last year aboard Holland America's Zuiderdam, which typically embarks in Boston and travels through the Canadian Maritimes and the stunning Gulf of St. Lawrence before arriving in Québec City, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and Canada’s only walled town. We just LOVED experiencing Québec city and even spent some extra time there! Several other cruise lines also sail a New England/Canada itinerary so there are options, including some that cruise from New York. Ships are in this area for a short time period each year so be sure to book early! Contact us and we'll get you all set up!
